Hexulo is a free puzzle game by Adam Bobowski (bobowski.dev). It has no ads, no third-party trackers and no tracking cookies, so it needs no cookie banner.

On your device

Your progress, best scores, streak and settings stay in your browser's storage. After your first visit your browser also keeps a copy of the game, so it plays offline. This is only for the game to work; nothing in it identifies you.

Anonymous play stats

When you play a board, the game sends how many moves, undos and restarts it took, how long, and whether you solved it. Each attempt gets a random number that the game forgets right away. There is no account, device id or IP address in these stats. We use them to tune the boards and to show how your solve compares with others. You can turn them off in Settings.

If you sign in

Signing in is optional. You sign in with Google or GitHub; they tell us your email address and your name. We keep them, your synced progress, and your best score on each board, so that your progress follows you to every device and your scores appear on the leaderboards.

The legal basis is the service you ask for when you sign in (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and your consent for the news emails (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Server logs

Like every website, the server that hosts Hexulo may write the IP address of a request to its access log for security and to fix problems. These logs are kept for a short time only.

Your rights

You may ask what we keep about you, ask to correct or delete it, and complain to your data protection authority. Most of this you can do yourself on your account page; for the rest, write to the contact on bobowski.dev.
